Where we’d Actually Go for a Pint
If you find yourself on the look for a solid pint in Budapest and want a proper drink without the fuss, these are some solid spots we'd actually recommend. No touristy fluff—just good beer, decent vibes, and a mix of locals and visitors.

Fellini Római Kultúrbisztró
This pub is right on the river, You can sit in deck chairs, sip your beer, and just zone out. Sometimes there’s live music, sometimes it’s just the sound of the Danube. Good spot to bring a date or just hang with your mates.

Nap bácsi
Right next door to Fellini, it’s like your chill uncle’s backyard but with better food and cold drinks. Super laid back, nothing fancy, but that’s the point. Great for grabbing food and watching the sun go down.

Két Rombusz
It’s literally two old buses turned into a pub. It looks kind of sketchy at first but trust us—it’s class. Cheap drinks, BBQ going, and everyone’s just hanging out. Definitely not fancy, but super fun. Cash only though, so don’t rock up card-in-hand like we did once or twice.

Budapest Garden
Big place with loads going on—food trucks, games, random events. Bit more of a group vibe here, but still great for a few pints on a summer evening. Good mix of people and usually something happening.

VakVarjú Beach Bistro
Alright, this one’s a little more polished. It’s at Kopaszi-gát, right by the river. Chill spot for a drink with a view, and the food’s actually decent too. Feels a bit more “date night” than the others, but still relaxed.
